"Manila, Philippines and Espoo, Finland - Globe Telecom, the leading telecommunications operator in the Philippines, and Nokia, the global leader in mobility, today announced that Globe is the first operator in the world to offer their customers a fully integrated mobile online sharing experience with the newest compatible Nokia Nseries multimedia computers.

Without the need to download or install any additional applications, Globe customers can now upload their photos and video clips directly from their compatible Nokia Nseries device to G-Blogs, Globe's mobile blogging service. The first devices to support this feature are the Nokia N93 and Nokia N73 multimedia computers.

Moreover, Globe customers can also post entries to G-Blogs directly through Nokia Lifeblog. Nokia Lifeblog is a unique collection and storage solution for personal multimedia content, where, with the push of a button, content from a Nokia handset can conveniently be transferred to a compatible PC or to an online blog. Nokia Lifeblog is available in all Nokia Nseries devices and other Nokia devices such as the Nokia 3230, Nokia 7610, Nokia 6680, Nokia 6681, Nokia 6630 and Nokia 6260. More information on how to use Nokia Lifeblog with G-Blogs can be found at www.g-blogs.com.

"Online sharing is one of the hottest trends to hit the cyber scene," said Mikko Pilkama, director, Multimedia, Nokia. "More and more people each day use blogging as a medium to share their thoughts and daily musings with the rest of the world, and we are thrilled that Globe has chosen Nokia's integrated online sharing solution to make blogging as easy and convenient as possible for their customers."

"G-Blogs is the service of choice for people who want to stay connected to and updated about their online communities," quipped Rina Azcuna, head, Value-Added Services, Globe. "We are delighted to cooperate with Nokia in providing a mobile blogging experience like no other."

Microsoft Vista Beta- Public Download Available Now!

Microsoft has released a beta version of its Vista operating system. Unlike the previously released Vista Beta 2 which is available only to a limited number of testers, this beta release is widely available to the public. This means, more testers, more bugs can be found. This is good because the more bugs that will be found, the more stable the OS will be when it is finally released - I hope they do a good job of debugging all those nasty bugs especially those that are remotely exploitable. But the underside will be, not only techies will be looking , but also hackers looking for exploitable bugs.So if your one of those techies who like to tinker with a new toy, you can download it here. Happy hunting!

Internet Explorer flaw

One Internet Explorer flaw leads to another flaw. Well I guess its time to switch to some other browser other than Internet Explorer. I've been using Firefox for more than two years now . before that I was using Netscape Navigator. Through the years thatI have been using Firefox I never been infected online. Although in one study conducted by Symatec sometime last year , it suggests that Firefox is more vulnerable than IE, but a lots of users still prefers the browser.

Singularity

One particular subject that fascinates me is the Singularity. From the Singularity Institute..
"The Singularity is the technological creation of smarter-than-human intelligence. There are several technologies that are often mentioned as heading in this direction. The most commonly mentioned is probably Artificial Intelligence..."
This is an event in the coming years that some scientist believe will happen within our lifetime. The idea is that the rate of technological innovation on arficial intelligence, robotics and genetic engineering will become exponential, eventually overtaking the human species. Ray Kurzweil one of the proponents of the idea has a come out with book titled Singularity Is Near. Robots taking over human, nanotechnology enhancing our biological system to enable humans to live forever.
